I got a car for $1000 (‘03 Chevy Impala with 32K (yes, 32k) miles). My coworkers, for the past year that I’ve had it, keep making fun of it, saying that the seller should have paid me to take that car, etc.. basically that the car is junk.
Are Impalas bad cars? The only issue I’ve had with it is that it didn’t have working a/c at one point (fixed now). I keep up with its maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, etc.)
Obviously, it gets me to work and back without a car payment, so it’s not all that bad, but.. I guess I’m not sure if the car is worth sinking any money into, should it run into major issues? Thank you! :)
