I love down pillows. I've had them most of my adult life. I always hate when they come to an end, which has happened to me maybe twice. The last time it happened, my bff, who worked at a dry cleaners said to have it reticked. I was like what? It's a secret! :) It cost $12 to have an old company store pillow cleaned and new feathers/down added.
It opens the pillow, takes out all the feathers and down, pulls out all of them that have been near/at the cloth of the pillow, cuz, gross, throws that away, then cleans the feathers that are left. If you want them to add more, they will. Voila!
Good down pillows are expensive and one of the things I enjoy, besides being frugal, so I loved it when I found out this secret.
