What are your best tips for planning incredible vacations while keeping it under $100-200 a day including flights/hotels esp using loyalty points, or hacks/tricks?

I have no idea about how to strategize with points - I feel like we just book whatever’s cheapest to fly/stay with then slowly accrue points sometimes.

My tip is to book car rental and keep checking since cancelation is free. Same with hotel, I select no prepayment needed and free cancelation.
