On May 30, Musk tweeted, "Few people seem to realize that China is leading the world in renewable energy generation and electric vehicles. That's true no matter what you think of China."
A few hours ago, Twitter user World of Statistics released a list of the "Top 15 Global Wind Power Installations," which showed China topping the list with 328,973 megawatts, while the United States, in second place, had 132,738 megawatts, less than half of China's capacity.
Musk left a message under the tweet saying that China is leading the world in renewable energy generation and electric vehicles.
Musk previously said that Tesla's Shanghai mega-factory has returned to a "fairly high level" of capacity and is on track to produce 1.5 million cars this year, an increase of more than 50 percent over 2021 production.
