Age 33.

Married.

2 young kids.

We both work - engineering and finance.

$300k household income.

Medium cost of living area.

$850k in retirement funds (401ks, Roth IRA's).

$300k in home equity.

$40k in college funds (529).

$200k in brokerage accounts.

$50k cash.

We max retirement accounts, live cheaply (hence our massive savings), and contribute to HSA where possible. We do everything right, and it already feels like "we've made it". Both of us treated our personal finances as a "hobby" if you will.

However, the money has lost its excitement a little bit. We're on autopilot. We can only pat ourselves on the back so many times. For those who have "made it", what do you put your energy and focus into? Do you start spending the money to take advantage of it while you have the chance? I worry about lifestyle creep, but there are certainly ways we could enjoy our material success. Do you find charitable causes? Do you take more vacations?

Or do you forget about money and find some other ways to focus your energy?

EDIT: I only used the word "wealthy" as a headline. I realize we're not quiting our jobs any time soon. I only mean that our financial plan is set, and we're ahead of schedule on all our financial goals. We haven't "won the game", but we're very comfortable. We're not 1%ers, but we don't have to worry about the things that 95% of the posters on this sub are worried about. We're doing everything we can right - I want to know what the next step is - even if it's not financial.
