When looking at a company's Income Statement through Yahoo Finance, it clearly shows gross profit as revenue subtracted by cost of revenue. But COGS and cost of revenue are two different things.
Cost of Revenue includes distribution and marketing expense. And it's also weird how Yahoo Finance's 'Cost of Revenue' doesn't include these expenses, because they are put into the other 'Operating Expense' category.
So what's the deal? Did Yahoo Finance screw up and actually mean COGS? Or am I misinformed?
