Read The Big Short, barely understood half the terms mentioned in it. Have some basic understanding as to what mortgages, stocks, and bonds are from an AP econ course but, other than that, didn't udnerstand what the shit they meant by tranches, how there were a lot of bonds within the mortgage bonds (What?), credit default swaps, housing bubble, CDO, and all these other terms. Please could someone recommend a book to me (preferably less than--or maybe a little more than--300 pages) that could explain this stuff for me. A dummies book works as well. Thanks.
