Thought I'd share since a lot of people on here and on r/povertyfinance seem to have frequent dental problems.
All my life, I've gotten cavities really easily, despite religiously brushing my teeth twice a day, flossing and using mouthwash. Since getting my Waterpik (water flosser) a few years ago, I haven't had one cavity. It even helped me recover from my wisdom tooth extraction without an infection (zero antibiotics) since I was able to get all the food and gunk out from the holes with one of the lower settings. My gums have also entirely stopped bleeding because bacteria doesn't get stuck between the teeth anymore.
If you're American, you can get one at Walmart for like $60. As a European, I had to order online and pay a bit more but it's still been a 100% worth it. Has saved me SO MUCH on dental costs and pain.
