My friend's ex stole her card and drained her accounts when they broke up. She called to dispute it, but was told that because he physically had access to the card, they couldn't do anything about it (Even though he was never given permission to use them).
That doesn't sound right to me. Is there anything that can be done at this point? I know disputes have to be made within 60 days which she attempted to do.
Or is she completely out of luck? She has Chase if that makes a difference.
