First post and somewhat new here so I apologize if the flair is wrong.
My birthday is in June, and the only people attending will be my parents and sister, and hopefully my grandparents depending on restrictions. I haven't celebrated my birthday since I was very young because we couldn't afford it and I told my parents I preferred them not wasting money on me just for a birthday. But this year I decided I really wanted to experience it just once again, the problem is that we have almost nothing to spend, I'm housebound (health issues) and I have no experience with birthday parties in general. I never went to any. we don't own any reusable decorations either. I'm all here for DIYng things, except I wouldn't know what! I also want some ideas on what we can do for fun without leaving the house (because of my health) and having to spend money. the only idea I had was making some simple box cupcakes with whipped cream and playing cards, but besides that I'm entirely lost on how to make this a fun day for everyone with nice frugal snacks and making the house look somewhat festive. it definitely does not have to be over the top or perfect.
note: my parents are willing to help collect things for decorating so I'm not limited to online buying only
