Hi all - could use some sound financial advise. I’m moving from nyc, where my current rent is $1725 (covid special) to SD where my rent will be $2603. My budget outlook is as below:
Gross salary: 165,000 401 k: 16% - 1142 per paycheck.
Monthly net: 6,423 (Rent): 2603 (Food/entertainment): 1500 (Utilities): 275 (Misc): 400
Remaining for savings/inv: 1645
I’m not a big spender and typically cook at home. Won’t need a car as I work remote. Have 90k in investments and 70k in savings which I will be moving the majority into a higher yield savings account. No debt.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
