2 months into working at a new company, I've been astonished by the workload and number of deliverables. I work for a tech company in the US as a finance analyst. Working remotely has its many pros, but also some cons. For one, I feel like I cannot log off. If I'm not on my computer, then it's on my phone. It's way past 5, and I still get messages of things I need to edit, due today. I like the company, but it's hard planning a life after work. Also, I think my job pays well, but not necessarily a factor. And I work as a contractor at an hourly wage. Is this meant to be the new normal now?
