I just started a salary job of 44k a year. I just looked at my first check and my rate is at 18.92. But if you divide my salary by the amount of hours worked yearly that should be 44,000/2080=21.15. Did payroll make a mistake or is there something I’m not understanding? This is my first “salary” job.
Edit- I meant 2080 hours, I messed up typing
I also calculated 24 paychecks a year since we get paid every 1st and 15th
