it just makes no real sense. Like literally every fucking time I hear anybody ever say anything in response to any genuine criticism it's always "DUrRRrRr iTS AlL pRiCEd iN. RElAx."
like seriously? you're telling me the market is efficient and everything is priced in, but yet something as so obvious such as the omicron variant reaching America suddenly spooks the market? it's not like this is March of 2020, we knew about omicron and I don't know a single person who didn't expect omicron to NOT been in America already. it's such an obvious scenario that it boggles my mind as to why such a news report caused a panic dip yesterday.
I swear, people will say "don't worry, it's totally priced in" for everything. and when the obvious thing that anybody with half a brain cell was expecting happens, suddenly the market gets spooked? I thought it was all priced in, right? at least the most obvious stuff.
I'm not even angry or anything about the baby dip, I'm more annoyed as to why it caused such a reaction in the first place. it really just truly shows how damn irrational the market is.
