Hey all - I am getting rather confused about Health Savings Accounts and the requirements. I realize they are for those with high deductibles ($1600 or higher deductible and $6900 or higher OOP). I have always had HD Insurance. What I don't know is if I can contribute to an HSA if I just have a HD, or if the insurance plan also must say "HSA" in the plan name (specifically talking about healthcare.gov's interface)

I see most of the insurance plans with HSA in their name are higher premiums which is now negating the benefit of having an HSA in general if I have to pay a higher monthly premium just to put money away that serves as a deduction.
