Aside from oil, garlic salt, sriarchi, onions, what might be some other frugal ways to make my rice and beans taste better?

Inflation at grocery store. I got rice and beans b/c I figured they would be cheaper than meat, yogurt, fruit, etc

I tried putting chia seeds on top, didn't seem to do much
