I have been offered a management position of my current group. I currently make 82k per year/hourly and had 20k of overtime per year ( and the last two years). I am waiting on the new salary figure from HR, and they mentioned considering the overtime figure over the past three years. So I expect the salary offer to be at minimum what I make now.

I will continue with my current duties along with new ones for one year. Filling a replacement for my position will be considered next year based on numbers in my group. The new position is bonus eligible which I wasn't before. No idea on historical amounts.

What should I consider after finding out the new salary? Anyone have experience with this situation? I love my job and management experience is good for my resume and I am already doing most of the duties already so I am glad it has been recognized officially. I just don't want to mess up my work situation by having to work more for less pay if the workload increases dramatically. Thanks for your input!
