Is inflation really transitory? Can it develop into hyperinflation? We've seen from recent history of Zimbabwe and Romania, Venezuela and Lebanon is going through it and Turkey seems to be at the start of it. Is there a trend going on? What's the asset to invest in if such a situation arise?

What's your take? The official figures of the US Cpi is at 6.2%

And we are seeing double digit numbers for PPI in many Eurozone countries. Spain is at 23.8%, Italy at 20.4% and Greece at 23.5%.

How do we protect ourselves from inflation that is getting higher and higher or protecting from a failing and hyperinflating currency?

Does anyone have any experience surviving such a situation or have been through periods of very high inflation? How do you hedge or protect yourself from your purchasing power getting lesser?
