I have a sibling in her mid 30's who can't get it together financially. My parents have supported her for her whole life basically. She's been given thousands of dollars at a time and bailout after bailout. I'm not close to her so I don't know her financial habits but from what I have seen I could tell she's the type to go out and buy stuff and then not have enough to pay her bills.

Anyhow, I was at my parents house this weekend and they mentioned that she's going through a tough time again. They also told me that they've depleted their savings trying to help her. They live off of social security and already get very little. For the first time they seemed very concerned and were asking me for advice. I told them they should cut her off for the most part and only help with basic necessities but they didn't like that idea because "she's our daughter!".

Has anyone been through this before and have any good advice? I'm mad at my sister and I'm mad at my parents. I feel like my parents created this problem but I also think my sisters a bad person for doing this to them. I'm also afraid that one day when they're gone I will be the one dealing with this situation.
