As a new home owner been researching home owners insurance. Let's say something big happens where you actually need to use the insurancd. Someone falls on the sidewalk and sues for a million bucks (and actually get it) or your home just gets completely destroyed somehow. If you file a claim to get your home replaced is it hard getting insurance after that?
I'm sure people have been in these situations before and I'm curious if they blacklist you after a big claim. Insurance companies are a business but wondering as the little guy if you're screwed when it comes to getting coverage in the future from different companies. Maybe there are laws to protect you?
