I got a job 2 hours away from my current location. My sister lives nearby so she's allowed me to stay until I get a place, but I'm already hired on and I'm really not trying to look for another job, it was a pain enough to get this one.

There is only one rental property nearby: a 3 bedroom house for 620$ a month. This is a rarity, if I pass on this opportunity then I won't find a house quite this cheap again. I currently have a 2 bedroom upstairs apartment I'm renting for $350 a month.

The house will come with a garage, so that's a plus. But the downside is: I'll have to buy my own snow blower, and if I stay there long enough I'll probably need to buy my own lawn mower too. And there are laundry hookups so it'd be a waste if I didn't buy my own washer and drier instead of paying like $10 to wash and dry my clothes at a laundromat twice a month, that's just extra cost. This extra $300 in rent is going to make me near the edge of my budget as it is.

I'm also not used to taking care of lawn and blowing snow, having lived in apartments all my life I've never had to worry about it. I'm sure it wouldn't be that big of an inconvenience, but buying those things might not be worth it unless I only continue renting houses in the future (but I have nothing against apartments)

Apartments are way cheaper, I don't think it's common to rent a house out this cheap in this area. So if I end up moving again (I personally would like to move out of this house at some point, it's a 30 min drive from where I'll be working I'd like to be closer) I might end up in an apartment, then I'd have to sell the mower I bought and the snow blower and the laundry machines.

I don't really know what to do. Should I take this opportunity or not? It's not a bad house. Only things wrong with it is the dungeon-like basement, it's two stories with a basement so probably costs more to keep warm, and the steps to go upstairs are a little sketchy with no railing. I'm thinking of passing on it.
