Thank you to the folks who recommended YNAB! My goodness what a weight off my shoulders. Spreadsheets were just not cutting it. Everything finally makes sense. Laying everything out and seeing exactly where every dollar is going really helped us see the big picture and put a plan on paying off the credit card, which I totally blew up in my mind to be this astronomical thing I couldn’t grapple with when really we just needed a transparent and detailed budget and lens into our expenses.
