I needed a few things at the hardware store the other day, and that included 4 lightbulbs to go in a newly installed light fixture.
The store sold me a 4 pack of GE LED bulbs for $12.99(ouch), but I bit the bullet because I didn’t want to make another stop and I assumed that I was getting some extra quality for paying 3x what I normally pay for bulbs.
I went home and screwed in all 4 to find that one of them was a dud!!! I was ever so pissed, cuz I knew I coulda gone to the dollar tree and paid $1 per bulb!!! I ended up returning the expensive bulbs, getting a refund, and bought 4 for $4 at the dollar store and they all worked!
I will NEVER overpay for lightbulbs ever again, and I will just assume that 25% of all GE products are defective.
