My dad was very recently diagnosed with dementia. I hadn't visited him since my mother died a year ago. He has degraded far past what I could have ever imagined possible... he has allowed a young girl and her boyfriend to stay rent free in a room in his house. They have basically taken over the entire estate.
My dad has been collecting their "rent money", he showed me a shoebox full of monopoly money and plastic coins.
These two criminals have been feeding on my dads disability and have no plans of leaving. I called the cops and these "tenants" provided a written contract that states they can live there forever and eventually own the house if anything happens to my father. They are now questioning his sanity as a landlord...
I am at a complete loss here, do these two toxic jokes of humans get free reign to my fathers estate? According to the cops they do, and the cops seemed to be on their side when visiting after I called them and explained the entire situation.
