So I Currently make $28/hr at a call center job that I have grown to absolutely not stand. I have no college degree but have essentially climbed up the ranks over seven years of employment and what I mean by that is I do everything management doesn’t want to do. From presentations to side by sides and coaching people who are on the phones to interviewing candidates and so on. I feel like I’m the go to guy for “I don’t want to do that but he will” but basically I feel stuck in my career because it seems as if no matter where I go it’s either going to be another call center job or I’ll be taking a pay cut. I was recently offered a job at a company that I’m absolutely in love with for $16/hr (burton snowboards) I’m a snowboarder/skate rat to the core and I would also have to move several states over. I have a mortgage that is $1700 a month and I have two roommates that pay $700/month and a car note that’s is $400/month. The rest of my monthly bills are just phone and house utilities etc. Am I insane for basically starting over?
