I’m facing some serious food insecurity and figured I’d come here for advice. I just got out of a month-long period of only getting food from the free meal I earned per shift and my share of the daily tip money for groceries. I now have $20 in my budget for groceries until my paycheck in a week and it’s so much that I’m getting overwhelmed trying to figure out what to do with it, so I figured I’d ask the frugal queens and kings how to get the healthiest bang for my buck.

In my pantry I already have spices, russet and red potatoes, onions, garlic cloves, oats, pasta, red sauce, plain ramen noodles, rice, honey, flour, sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, bread, and vegetable oil. In the freezer I have bacon, cheese dogs, 2 chicken thighs, meatballs, blueberries and strawberries. In the fridge I have a bunch of condiments/sauces, bell peppers, a jar of bacon fat, crabapple jelly, croissants, a few types of cheese, eggs, carrots, eggs, and milk.

What do you think I should get to restock, and what can I make with what I have?
