I have that new-ish AT&T unlimited plan with absolutely no caps on data usage, BUT very limited mobile hotspot. On my laptop, I download and share a lot of dense, music files (FLAC etc.) for my own pleasure and for my band. I also stream video content as well as other normal, internet browsing and research. Anyway, I ran out of mobile hotspot data within a week’s time for the past two months. I’ve been reading as much as I can about using my phone’s data and a router to set up wi-fi for my house, but I don’t quite understand it or know if it can be done without utilizing the phone’s hotspot. I have no other source of internet, no ISP, wi-fi etc.
I dug and searched as best I could to see if this had been previously answered here or anywhere else on Reddit to no avail. Any and all insight is greatly appreciated…thanks in advance, comrades!
