Hi everyone. Months ago I hired a company to fix/redirect some of my underground sprinkler system. The two workers didn’t come with the correct supplies (even though a worker can perviously to look at my sprinklers and give me a quote), so they made a trip to the store to buy supplies. When I got the bill, they charged me for all of the time it took to come to my house, go to the store, and come back to fix the sprinklers. I recently spoke with them over the phone saying I didn’t think this was right, and the price was not what we discussed beforehand. The girl I spoke with wouldn’t even discuss the issue and brushed me off. After the call, they send my bill to collections. Is there any way to negotiate this bill? I spoke with a lawyer friend, who suggested I send the landscaping company a letter saying I will pay a discounted bill if they take the bill out of collections. I have no idea where to start with this issue. Thank you!
EDIT: once they left, my sprinklers still did not hit all of our grass. We had to redo many of them.
