Hi all, i’m deep in the “man i want this and i think it would increase my quality of life but i don’t want to be an idiot” phase of wanting to buy something.

Quick summary - I’m 22, have about $12k in the bank, with about $17k in investments, and a stable income of about $2200 a month. I split rent with my girlfriend and my total expenses each month including bills / food come to about $800.

I really want to buy a rowing machine to keep myself fit. It will run my about $1100 but should last me many years as its a good one (concept 2). I mountain bike and thats my primary source of exercise but getting out is mostly dictated by daylight and weather, so something like this in the house seems ideal..

I don’t regularly buy stuff for myself, though when i do they tend to be big purchases but i always get a lot of value from them.

I consider myself pretty frugal, i cringe when i spend money most of the time, and $1100 feels like a lot of money…basically a paycheck.

Am i crazy? Feel free to let me know, thanks!!
