I am in my mid 40's with a mortgage and on my last year of paying off student loans. What is extremely disturbing and discouraging is how hard I have worked to pay off this student debt ($3400/month) to only be faced with this extreme inflation. On top of this, the salaries are not offsetting the inflation rates. Therefore, I feel we are going in the wrong direction.
My plans were to travel and invest in a little of leisure as I have sacrificed this category all my life to pay off debt and to try and get ahead. It just appears that everything (houses, cars, trip to grocery store, and even the back to school supplies) are at a rate that is dangerous to sustain.
I accept my debt and all responsibilities in paying it off. However, when will this hyperinflation event end?
I wish the best for each of you on this sub.
