I’ve used my weed whacker around once or twice a month for around 4 years, and it was time to replace the head.

I thought it’d be cheaper to have the damaged part be repaired vs replacing the whole head, so I took it to a repair shop nearby and they charged me $60. After I left, I went to Home Depot to see how much a replacement would cost and it was $25. Unfortunately the repair shop won’t refund the money since “they’ve already done the work”.

Lesson learned, always shop around, and ask for prices first.

Also, I hate that it costs more to repair than replace 9 times out of 10.
