Greetings everyone,

I'm still relatively new to paying taxes and only recently did I find out that I have to report interest earned from my bank accounts on my taxes and I have gone for 2 tax years either no knowing this thing or having forgotten about it. I have a savings account and a 36 month CD account. I have never received a tax document from my bank because (to my knowledge) I have never made more than 10 dollars in interest from these accounts. But, I don't believe I ever reported them on my tax forms. I have filed for the 2019 and 2020 tax years and both times I have taken the standard deduction because I haven't made more than it.

My question is, should I even bother going through the process of amending tax forms? Is it even possible? Will it even matter?

Thank you in advance for your help.
