There's been a lot of classist, privileged poor shaming on this sub lately.
Let's take the time to be considerate of other people's situations. Just because someone can't do something the way you think it has to be done is no reason that person should just "not do" that activity at all.
A lot of people are living paycheck to paycheck and save for months to have an extra $100 to go out for a family meal to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. Just because that family can't afford to drop $20 to add soda to that meal is no reason to shame them into staying home until they save the extra cash. That $20 might be 2 hours working away from their family. Add in childcare costs and it might be 4 hours away from their family. For what? To add soda to a dinner out because you think that's the way it should be done?
Let's stop with the privileged classist shaming already. Just because $20 or even $2 is an insignificant amount to you doesn't mean it is to everyone.
We all deserve to be able to enjoy nice things in life.
