I am moving cross-country (NY-WA) in a few weeks for a temporary (6-8 month) work assignment. I have rented a storage unit here to store the majority of my belongings (esp furniture and other large items) until I return and will be driving my small SUV/crossover with everything I'm bringing inside. If anyone has thoughts on what is worth packing vs. replacing in terms of cost vs. space in the car I would greatly appreciate it. Bedding? Dishes/cookware? Spices? TV? My instincts are to just bring the bare minimum in the interest of simplifying the move, but I know I'll be kicking myself when I then have to re-purchase items I already have sitting in storage. Any other general frugal moving/packing tips appreciated as well :)

ETA: I'm thinking there are some items I have here that I can bear to live without for my time in Seattle (TV, coffee maker, etc). If anyone has suggestions to add to this list or tips on "must-brings" I would love to hear those as well!
