I'm not familiar with Warby Parker, but they are really well liked. I made an account online and their only option for adding a prescription is using their App (called Virtual Vision Test) which is only available on iOS (so I guess if you don't have an iOS device you are out of luck?) and running through some eye tests on your phone. I can't imagine eye tests through your phone via app would be the most accurate, with pixels per inch and brightness varying greatly across many different phones/devices. $15 wouldn't be terrible on it's own, but I think I trust the exam I got directly from an Ophthalmologist using the proper equipment over using an app on my phone.

Anyways, after you do that, an optometrist looks at your results and decides to either renew your prescription (that you already have) which would be a $15 fee, or recommends going to get an Exam in person somewhere, which would be starting $75.

Why not just let me upload my current prescription? I just got it recently. Maybe I'll just get sunglasses from Zenni or one of those other sites (any place you recommend to get sunglasses fairly inexpensively?).

Sounds like this might be a new thing Warby Parker is forcing on customers.
