New to frugality. I used to dream of retiring at 40. Now, at 27, I’m aiming for 50. The problem is, outside of my two jobs and 401k, I’m a lazy, broke bum.
Well, the first step is admitting there’s a problem, so glad that’s out of the way lol.
I’m soon to be married, and am attacking the debt of both my fiancé and myself as hard as I can. I try to put money towards groceries (Aldi, Walmart, and Kroger) to keep myself from eating at work (overpriced hospital food, or take out delivery to a comic shop), but I still do it anyway. If I have some way to track my money flow, preferably a brainless way, I think it would help.
And this may not belong here, but a huge amount of my free time goes to video games, and I’m starting to see it as an issue. It causes no strain on my relationship, but I feel the time is being wasted. How do I break this apparent addiction? Are there good time management apps/skills I can be made aware of?
