(I'm sure I'm not telling you something you don't already know, but just in case, here's how to have your cake and eat it too, by which I mean "Have your Starbucks Frappuccino and still have money in your pocket")

I had no idea it was so damned expensive. At Walmart a 4-pack of 9.5 oz bottles is $15. I mean, I knew it was pricey, but I didn't realize that it was more than $6 per pint.

Anyway, it's easy to make, For the basic recipe just use about one cup of whole milk, one half tablespoon of powdered sugar, and one cup of strong black cold coffee. Combine it in a bottle and shake well. Experiment, you can add a touch of vanilla or maybe some coco powder to get different flavors, or skim milk, if you like. The ingredients cost pennies, really. I think it's important to use strong coffee, though I have really never tried it any other way.

I use dark roast whole bean (Safeway brand Sumatran and Italian are both favorites) and grind it fine. I make coffee every morning. I make it strong (because that's how I like it) and what I don't drink goes in a jar and into the fridge so I can make iced coffee when I get home from work.
