I'm a perm at my current job for 4 years. WFH full time, good manager, good team and the pay is good. Not much stress either, barely any overtime needed, its a cushy job.
My first world problem is that I got offered a contract position at another agency that is a 100% pay rise, meaning double my current salary. Obviously as a contractor you get no paid leave, I'll have to also commute an hour one way every day, they said wfh a few days is possible but you never really know with these things. Also will have to pay for parking but i don't mind with the $ they are offering.
So question is should i accept the new job? Someone who's walked this path before may be able to give insight into this. Yes my job is cushy, but i ask myself how long will i stay in the one place just for comfort, wfh full time has really led me to stay for a long time.
