So I recently got hired by a small/medium sized company. Salary is around 60k. I'm planning on moving to a major city soon and I'm looking to pay extra for rent since I really value better quality of living. That being said I want to know how high I can go. According to Linkedin and Glassdoor. Employees get promoted around 3 times in the span of 3-4 years. With each promotion, there's a pretty significant salary increase. First promotion, base salary goes up to 73k, second promotion, salary goes up to 85k and third one, it goes up to 100k. Is it normal for a company to do that? I'm very new to the corporate world and I just wanted to check if this can be possible, because if so, I would like to take steps in planning my future (savings, investing, rent..etc)
