I am curious if there is anything illegal about looking at my Dad's bank accounts. I have the info necessary to do it but he did not give me his info thinking I'd look at his accounts. For context, my Dad's memory started getting really bad about a year ago and it seems like he has stopped paying a $10,000 credit card bill. I want to look and see if this is real and what kind of money he has in checking to see if there's any hope he or I could pay it. He is easily confused, cannot really sit down and do things like bills or taxes anymore. I just want a little more information before I bring anything up to him so I know whether I am able to help. I'm trying to avoid him being embarrassed or secretive about this.
