I guess I emerged from my rock today and was made aware of the chip shortage is effecting cars too.
At market price, I currently have 6k equity in my 3 year old car.
So I had the idea to sell my car to cash in and move downtown downtown using part of the $500 I save on car insurance/car note. And using part of the 6k for my transportation needs. (Uber, Lyft, grocery delivery etc)
And save like 3k for a down payment on a car whenever I decided to leave downtown.
Is selling my car right now and moving downtown a good idea?
