I got a sort of heart-breaking text from somebody who I hire every couple of weeks for housekeeping my home. Short version: One of their parents is ill, and they're struggling to pay for their healthcare, so she asked her clients to send out referrals so they can get more work.
Done, and (IMO) she under-charges for the quality of work she does so we increased my bill by 25%.
But I feel like there's more we can do for this person... Knowing her hourly rate, even working 7 days a week, she doesn't make a lot of money for our region (Seattle)... I just don't even know where/how to get started to look for Federal or State (Washington) programs that might provide assistance.
Kind Redditors:
- Can you refer me to any programs that I might be able to read about, and forward over?
- Any advise on how to propose these programs?
