My mother passed away a couple of months ago and I was left with an inheritance. Cash will total about $300,000, plus an $86,000 rollover IRA from her pension that I have to put into an inherited IRA, and I have $12,000 in a Roth IRA. All of these funds are currently with EJ.
I'm not happy about all the feels I've learned about with EJ and in the 3 months I've been with them have seen next to zero growth.
I'm leaning towards moving to Fidelity, but also considering Vanguard and Schwab. How can I move my money out of EJ and where do I put it? I know the inherited IRA has to stay as an Inherited IRA that I need to pull 10% of annually.
Who do you recommend I go? Are there advisors with these other investment groups? I'm 40 now and would like to retire by 57 and want to maximize my growth and minimize fees. I'm open to suggestions.
