Can someone with good market analysis skills explain something to me?

Okay, I need folks with big brains to educate me on something. JPOW says the reason CPI isn’t an issue is because used cars are inflating the numbers and when I look into it it’s sitting at 29.7% but I also noticed that energy is at 28.5% and gasoline is at 56.2%. I feel like I’m being lied to and the concerns is being downplayed.
