I'm not wealthy. I deal with chronic pain and chronic everyday feeling like I'm dying slowly and painfully almost every day but some days are good and I like decorating. I was making decent money before a neglected/undiagnosed disease almost killed me WHILE in the midst of a bad car accident that totalled my paid off vehicle, emergency surgery blah blah blah. But money doesn't care about these things.

I still want nice things :( which is hard when you need to rely on the minimal income while I try my best to heal well enough to HOPEFULLY one day work again, which if possible, would be part time only... so my purchases seem SO much more intense and anxiety inducing, looking at prices on different sites, ect.. No more willy-nilly, frivolous purchases for this gal. Ugh. Now I'm bummed out so I'm gonna get to the point:

I'm looking for a cabinet/end table to go in my bedroom. Along with a tray type table, c shaped or like portable console/work type for my laptop/writing/drawing/snacks.

For my cabinet/end table, I've looked for weeks and I'm in-love with the barn/cottage type style. Farm doors with the shutter type windows, or the door that slide. It's something that I only thought I'd only see on TV shows or my dreams or ...barns(obviously)

The ones I am absolutely inlove with is the Forest Gate sage sliding door accent, Forest Gate Jackson consol table, Forest Gate traditional corner wood louvered TV stand and their Wheatland sliding door is so cute. All of them. I want them all. This is torture 😢 I love the shutter type or clear windows. I have some curtains that drape above my bed and some leaves, vines, flowers with string lights to make my bedroom seem more of an escape than a room in a house that I rarely get to leave.

Though I am not as wealthy, I still believe you get what you pay for. Not ALWAYS but most of the time it is true. Example of this was I bought the CUTEST little round end table at jiisc which is a sister company to IKEA and it was $69.00 on sale from 80something.

Putting it together was more annoying than any other furniture I've put together, the metal screws got all munched and the wood was chipping with any little tiny oopsie. I was finishing the final part which was the drawer part and I had to unscrew one part and the whole fucking mount IN the wood just broke right out as if it was made of Styrofoam or something. I was so disheartened as that was my budget for the time. I now have it in the corner of my room and no one can open it cause it'll literally fall apart in about 3 different ways. I'm thinking of just gluing it shut, since it can't be opened. Talk about a life lesson.

I checked out BBB and thats when I fell inlove with the Forest gate furniture but Amazon has some items INCREDIBLY similar but like minus a few hundred. Would this be another jiisc mishap do you think? Or is it usually to be trusted if the items are featured or prime stamped?

I don't have energy to put something together 90%, realize it's not good, take it apart and put it in a return box to wait for another. I just can't. My body can't handle it. My soul cannot handle it. I am desperately trying and looking at prices and reviews in hopes that I get something sturdy for HOPEFULLY under 250.00ish

Is that too low for a 27-35 inch Height and 40-50ish inch Width with some storage? Atleast 1 or 2 shelves to keep things easily accessible while I'm in bed.

What do you figure? Should I up my price range? What has been a consistent experience for you in terms of online shopping for furniture for you?

One last question: I've been super curious about public Amazon wish lists. If it is public and you share it with someone and they were to buy something for you off your list, would they have access to all your information like your address and postal code or like your full name and stuff? I am so curious about this because I wouldn't mind posting a wishlist in the rare chance of some kind stranger(or friend) purchasing something!

Either way, thank you for your time and I appreciate any advice or guidance on which stores you buy from or even tips on pricing or even sharing a story about being annoyed with building something bought online.

I'm sure you can tell that I have too much time on my hands, so just be kind. Or tell a joke or something. Idk, either way thanks for reading.
