Hello! I am moving across the country by myself to live alone for the first time ever.
I am having a crisis over furniture as I was going to rent furniture for my entire studio apartment for $144 a month, as they’d deliver and assemble and I am a girl who is not handy. Being raised by a frugal dad, I cannot justify a monthly commitment on furniture.
Please give any tips you have on my furniture situation! I’m thinking to just by a bed from someone (moving to DC), and hire movers? And then by the rest of the furniture slowly (once my law school stipend comes in around October/September so I don’t spend all my savings on furniture).
I just don’t know how to navigate this cheaply. Things are so much easier when my undergrad was just three hours from home.
