Hi everyone. I recently changed jobs from a Fortune 500 to a startup. It was in a field I’m really interested in and I actually ended up with a pay bump. However, benefits aren’t as extensive as my last job and my new employer doesn’t match 401k contributions.

My total 401k from all my jobs is currently $100k. I am not sure where the best place to put this money is now because my new company does not match 401k contributions. Because of this, I have stopped adding money to my 401k because I’m now investing in post-tax accounts.

Options: - leave my money in my old employer account with no new contributions and a quarterly fee (~$12)

  • move my money to my new employer account with no new contributions and pay a fee ($?)

  • any other options?

Just want perspective. I called the 401k people and they weren’t really insightful. Ofc nothing y’all say will be considered financial advice and I’m gonna continue to do comprehensive research before making my final decision.
