Hello, I live in Arizona and work in California at a Federal facility (DHHS). Our facility is considered part of the Southwest region, our Area office is located in Phoenix. I've been working there for 3 years; HR has never gave me a straight answer on where to file my state tax, some say it's where you live & someone else will say it's where your office is located. This year they said we need to file in both AZ and CA. I've been filing in AZ this whole time. My question is since I've been filing in AZ and then switch to AZ & CA will it trigger an audit or something similar since nothing has changed (same home address and work address). I'm confused and don't want to get in trouble 😦 Thank you in advance
