Do you ever dislike when you’re shopping and certain products lack a store brand?? My family asked me to pick up Splenda we use the packets cause it’s just easier or whatever, anyway the company i work for wanted $6 for 100 ct wtf?!? Now i think save a lot is pretty cheap but around here they close at 8... maybe $2 for 100 I’m gonna have to look it might be 200 actually... i know at work the one girl prefers stevia so it’s only 40 for $2 but she buys it on Amazon a little less...
Anyway! I i ended up going to dollar general there it’s $1 for 50 so for the $6 i got 6 50s for 300 ct. otherwise family preferred the bigger box of Splenda but those stores didn’t sell it that way. Idk if that’s inflation at work or what... to be fair actual Splenda brand was $2.75 for 50 at DG too a $1.75 premium on a NAME... insane...
Or i got some wheat thin store brands with stores running this monopoly program at grocery stores across the country it was a free box of cookies or crackers of the store brand between certain oz, it just sucks i can only really choose regular. Reduced fat or multigrain in store brand free so can’t complain otherwise $2 for limited flavors or $3 if you want ranch or so. Guess same can be said for Oreo flavors vs generic.
And shopping unit prices is hard if say you buy something that only comes in one size but the other flavors of their product are in all. Like say Body Armor 8 packs vs single bottles. Or the larger bottles, though smaller make sure you don’t drink too much at once and portion control.
Long story short grocery shopping is a pain especially when we just have so many options and prices. And store to store pricing is all over the place vs everyday price and tracking sales on favs or just getting whatever you grab that’s on sale.
