Some background information, I used the dispute is on on credit karma and went to the credit bureaus and also disputed two rental collection debts. They both magically disappeared after a month except for one on TransUnion. When I applied to two apartments, they denied me because it still popped up. I called the collections agency and they still have both of the debts but they said it was "closed temporarily due to investigations," and that's why they aren't on ANY of the three credit bureaus but one still shows when rental agencies look. One of them, I called the old apartments and they told me I never signed anything and it isn't my debt. They sent me the first eight pages of my dad's lease that shows I am not responsible. I called the collections back and they said they will accept it but will again have to wait for the apartment complex to respond apparently. The other one doesn't have any paperwork anymore so I guess I'm SOL. I would like to send in the documents to remove the first one and the second one I want to pay off, it's about $850. I wanted to know how I should go about getting these off and the collections people not trying to make me still pay for the first one or pushing it off and not removing it in full. Also, how do I pay the other one and get proof in case they don't remove it.
TLDR: I have two collections, one I have proof I don't owe and the other I will have to pay off. How do I send payment and proof to the agency to get these removed as soon as possible as well as have documentation that proves this?
